Greek tax number from abroad
Get your Greek AFM and TAXISnet access remotely.
A Greek accountant checks your route, prepares and submits the combined AFM and Authentication Key file, follows AADE and hands the result back securely. You do not travel to Greece for a standard remote case.

The direct answer
One complete AFM route, with no paid add-ons.
Your €195 includes the Greek AFM application, the connected TAXISnet Authentication Key procedure and secure handover.
We first check why you need the AFM and whether you already have one. A Greek accountant then confirms the accepted authority and document route, prepares the file, submits through AADE and follows it until the authority issues a result or identifies a documented blocker.
No annual representation plan, express fee, TAXISnet add-on or unrelated service is placed in this order. Government, consular, Apostille, certified translation, notarial and courier charges are separate because their need and price depend on your documents and country.
From abroad to issued AFM
The five steps
- Tell us why you need an AFM. Give us your nationality, country of residence, intended Greek activity and deadline. Do not send identity documents by ordinary email.
- Receive the exact document route. The responsible professional confirms identity, foreign address, authority, translation and legalisation requirements before you pay third parties.
- Approve and sign the authority. We prepare the wording. You review it and sign only through the route confirmed for your case, which may be a Greek consulate or a local notary with the required legalisation.
- We submit and follow the file. The authorised Greek professional submits the combined AFM and Authentication Key request and responds to procedural requests from AADE.
- You receive a documented handover. We return the AFM certificate, the access route where issued and a written note explaining any next tax-registry action. Your passwords and one-time codes remain yours.
Prepare once
What we ask for, and why
- Passport or accepted national identity document: to match your legal name, birth details and nationality.
- Foreign home address: to record your non-Greek residence correctly and identify any representative requirement.
- Your own email and mobile number: so AADE access and security messages stay under your control.
- Family status: because registry information must agree with the accepted civil-status evidence.
- Reason for needing the AFM: for example property, company participation, employment, inheritance or another Greek transaction.
- Authority document: only in the final form approved for your case. Do not sign a generic template in advance.
We request documents through an agreed secure route after intake. We never ask for a TAXISnet password, bank login, card number or one-time code.

- You need your first Greek AFM for a defined lawful purpose.

- The applicant is a minor, lacks legal capacity or is applying for an entity.
- You need the AFM for an urgent notarial completion or another fixed deadline.

You have a free alternative
You can apply directly through AADE.
AADE does not charge for issuing an AFM. An individual may use the official TIN and Authentication Key application and complete the accepted identification route, including myAADElive where available. Our €195 is for professional review, file preparation, representative coordination, submission follow-up and secure handover, not for the government number itself.
- AADE: official TIN, Authentication Key and tax-representative procedure
- AADE: myAADElive identification questions and answers
Greece, Sorted. is an independent coordination service, not AADE or another government body. Authority requirements and processing times can change. The responsible professional checks the live route before submission.

Useful answers
About this payment
Can I obtain a Greek AFM without travelling to Greece?
Yes, in a standard adult case the file can normally be prepared and submitted remotely through an authorised Greek accountant or tax representative. We confirm the accepted authority route before you sign anything.
Is TAXISnet access included?
Yes. The standard service includes the connected Authentication Key procedure and secure access handover where AADE issues it. You choose and control your own password and one-time codes.
What documents will I need?
Start with a valid passport or accepted identity document, your foreign home address, personal email and mobile number, family status and the reason you need the AFM. We confirm whether any document needs certified translation, an Apostille or another legalisation before you spend money on it.
Does an AFM make me a Greek tax resident?
No. Receiving an AFM does not by itself make you Greek tax resident and does not automatically mean you must file an annual Greek tax return. Your activities and tax facts determine any later obligations.
Can I apply directly without paying a provider?
Yes. AADE does not charge for issuing an AFM. You may apply through the official TIN and Authentication Key service and complete identification through myAADElive or another accepted route. The €195 pays for professional file review, preparation, submission coordination, follow-up and handover.
Is there an automatic annual renewal?
No automatic subscription or renewal is added to this payment. If your circumstances require continuing tax representation or later tax work, that is explained and priced separately before you decide.
What if I already have an AFM?
Do not apply for a second AFM. Tell us before work begins. We will check whether you instead need an Authentication Key, access recovery or a tax-registry update. If this service is not appropriate, the published refund terms apply.
Can I add another service to this payment?
No. This page takes payment for Greek AFM and TAXISnet registration only, at €195. A different Greek service is paid on its own page.
